Holiday Inn Express Portland East - Troutdale by IHG

Firstly, I have to thank Rashida (Sorry, I forgot to ask how she spells her name) for going above and beyond to get me information I needed about the room and hotel before I booked it for a work trip. The location is great in terms of access to the interstate, food, and gas stations. It was only 5 to 7 min drive to downtown Troutdale. While. I am not a shopper, it is also only a 3 to 5 min drive to the outlet shopping center. The staff, in general, was super nice. I didn't have breakfast, but it seems like it had a good selection. The room was very clean, had microwave and mini fridge. The mini fridge was actually roomy compared to many other places I've stayed; I could put quite a bit of food and water inside. They provided Dove soap, shampoo, and conditioner, soft thick towels, and the bed was comfortable by my standards. The location is near a railroad and truck stops, so expect a little noise. It didn't bother me, even though I was in the back, downstairs, facing the railroad and truck stop. (What was more annoying were the teen girls at 3am on 3 of the 6 mornings I stayed there.) Overall, I would certainly stay here again. As a female traveling alone, I felt safe there.

This was a great hotel. Rooms smelled very good. Pool and hot tub was great. Showers were very hot. And the free breakfast the next morning was amazing. So many options of food and all you can eat breakfast from 7am - 10am and free coffee. Only issue was the elevators were down for maintenance so had to take stairs but was only 1 floor up.

I had a great experience staying here! I arrived around 3 a.m. after a long drive, and Bobby at the front desk was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He made check-in quick and easy and even helped me find the perfect room, which I really appreciated at that hour. The location is excellent—just far enough from the main traffic to feel peaceful and quiet, but still close to several local attractions and good restaurants. It was the ideal balance for a relaxing stay. The room itself was clean, fresh, and comfortable. We stayed for two nights, and everything felt well-maintained and tidy. There was plenty of parking available, and the free breakfast was a nice touch—simple but satisfying, with enough options to start the day right. Overall, this place offers solid value for the price. It’s a decent and convenient stay, and Bobby’s friendliness and assistance really stood out. Thanks again to him for making our visit smooth and enjoyable!

Easy access and very personable staff. Room was clean but dated with a shower head height suitable for those 5'7" and under. Low water pressure. Clearly tub unit had not had caulking repaired in some time. Continental breakfast was hot and had good variety for picky kids. Juice machine ran out about 0930 and was not refilled.

We are over the road truckers, we stopped for a night. The front desk clerk was super friendly and chatted us up awhile. Signed us up for rewards and got us a nice room. The room was clean, smelled great, super comfy bed and it wasn’t hot! Would definitely stay again being so close to the loves. We had a great dinner! Wish we could have stayed for breakfast.

We stayed on Friday October 17 and we got in late - The lady working front desk Rachedia was very nice and helpful . She welcomed and answer all questions and made us feel special . The next day she was also the one cleaning the pool and spa area and was in such a good mood even though she had been up all night .

I really enjoyed my stay here. The people at the front desk were very nice and breakfast was yummy. I do think they need a better sign to find it though. I had problems finding it first, admittedly though I had a couple of not so good navigators thinking they were helping me.

We had a late flight arrival had a reservation at this hotel. It's in a great location right off the interstate and about 15 mins away from the airport. The lady at the front was super nice and welcoming. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great to have before a long trip along the coast.
